Over the winter months I am going to take the time to blog some of my favorite portrait sessions from last year. In December, I spent the afternoon with the Agrawal women. They were so much fun and so easy to photograph! Here are a few from our session.

Wow. What an amazing year it has been for me and my business. First of all, I want to say thank you to all of the amazing couples who trusted me enough to photograph their spacial day. I have met so many wonderful people this year and traveled to beautiful places. I am so so grateful for all of my adventures this past year. I have learned a lot and I also know I have a lot left to learn! I am so excited for 2012 and all of the wonderful couples I will be working with. I still haven’t finished blogging a lot of weddings and sessions from this year, but I wanted to take a day to look back before we enter 2012. Here are some of the photos that meant the most to me. Happy New Year everyone!

I met Tom and Ashley at Carkeek Park. They spend a lot of time there so it was the perfect place to get to know them and take some photos! It was cloudy and raining when we first met up, but over the course of an hour the sky started to clear. We even got a little sunlight right at the end! I had a great time getting to know these two. They are a ton of fun and I am looking forward to their wedding in June!

I wanted to share the lovely wedding of Lauren and James with you today. Their wedding was at one of my favorite spots, Lord Hill Farms. What a gorgeous fall day it was. It was such a wonderful celebration and I felt so honored to be a a part of it. It was an emotional day as well as there was a loss in the family earlier in the week. It seemed to bring everyone closer though and James and Lauren’s love for each other was so very apparent. Here are a few of my favorite’s from the day. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday’s and surrounded by those they love!

Ok I have been slacking on my blogging with the craziness of the holidays! Today I am excited to share my engagement session with Mike and Shannon. I met them on the most gorgeous fall day you could possibly hope for. I was so excited to finally have some sunlight to shoot in after a long streak of clouds. In October I took a fabulous workshop with Fer Juaristi and Daniel Aguilar called Lightshop. Without sunlight I hadn’t had the chance to play around with anything I had learned while I was there. Mike and Shannon were so amazing, they were totally up for trying anything I asked them to do. They are just great people and a great couple and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon with them. We started at Alki to get a view of the city and then we headed to Georgetown – my favorite!! Here are a few of them.

I wanted to share another lovely fall engagement session with you. I met up with David and Alana at Greenlake on a very cold fall afternoon. I love Greenlake this time of year, it is so beautiful. They live only a couple of blocks from the lake and spend a lot of time running there. So it only made sense for me to meet them there for their session. I enjoyed getting to know them and I am very much looking forward to their wedding!
